About You
You will be among the early engineering hires at Status, working directly with the founding team and Head of Product. This takes a special type of entrepreneurial mindset, one that finds ways to achieve goals even when the “how to get there” is not abundantly clear. You are someone who wants to be part of achieving major startup milestones for the first time and love the idea of building from the ground up.
As a frontend engineer, you understand how impactful your role is on the product. You have an eye for detail and enjoy bringing designs to life as you build delightful experiences. Your foundation as an engineer allows you to take complex problems and develop solutions that are both technically sound and user friendly. You are self-sufficient but also thrive in an environment of collaboration and feedback.

What You’ll Do
- Work with Typescript + React
- Tackle tough design challenges that come with building the first version of a fully-featured SPA
- Take ownership in developing and shipping new features, while also improving core product features
- Rapidly prototype new ideas and test them with customers
- Contribute to the applications architecture to ensure a scalable, performant product
- Take complex frontend design challenges from our product roadmap and craft them into beautiful user experiences
What We Look For
- 2+ years of full-time experience with software development
- Typescript proficiency (or Javascript with a desire to learn Typescript)
- Experienced with React
- An ability to innovate and contribute in a meaningful way (not just follow a spec)
- Scrappiness. One day you may be asked to build a web component, and the next to polish existing feature sets
- Someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment, hungry for growth opportunities
- Experience in building and owning scalable frontend architecture
